Patsy Cline (1932–1963) was an American country vocalizer who recorded about 100 songs during her career from 1955 through 1963. Cline has often been chosen one of the most influential vocalists, mostly due to the song delivery of her material.[one] Considered among the all-time examples of her vocal commitment are the songs "Walkin' After Midnight", "I Fall to Pieces and "Crazy".[2] These singles were also amid Cline's biggest hits, all of which reached major positions on the Billboard state and pop music charts.[1]

During her eight-year career, Cline recorded a full of 104 songs. This consisted of tracks recorded with her offset label, Four Star, and tracks recorded with her 2d characterization, Decca.[iii] Her early recordings with 4 Star began in 1955 and were a mixture of traditional country, traditional popular, rock and gospel. This menstruation included "Walkin' Subsequently Midnight", which has been considered amidst her higher-quality textile for the label.[1] Other notable recordings from this era included "Three Cigarettes (In an Ashtray)", "I Can See an Angel" and "Gotta a Lotta Rhythm in My Soul".[4]

Signing with Decca Records in 1960 allowed Cline more than collaborative opportunities with producer Owen Bradley. Bradley would be responsible for framing her Nashville Sound musical way that would continue until her 1963 expiry.[i] In her kickoff Decca sessions, Cline recorded "I Fall to Pieces". During her time with Decca, she as well covered a diversity of textile that featured cloth from the Great American Songbook besides as standards from country music. Amidst these recordings was "Always", "True Love" and "Your Cheatin' Middle.[5] At the time of Cline's death, she had recorded music that was planned for an predictable quaternary studio album. This music (among other previously-unreleased fabric) would subsequently be issued in numerous compilation albums and boxed sets.[1]
